Holiday Gift Guide for Him (All Under $100)

So excited to present my first gift guide of the season (!!!) Shopping for men can be hard and difficult, and I feel like the go to option is always clothes, so I tried branching out of my own comfort zone and figuring out some other options.

I went for classic, timeless staples in anyone's life: Snapback hats, lounge pants, and even a no shave kit for that guy in your life that prefer facial hair.

Be on the lookout for more holiday guides and outfits in the next couple of weeks to come, and please feel free to comment below on any guides you'd like to see in the future on the blog.

Breaking The Rules

 |Dress: Honey Punch (Similar) ((I have linked some others at the end of the post))|Scarf: Old Navy (Similar- Practically the same!!)|Shoes: Sam Edelman ( VERY Similar!)|Purse: Kate Spade (smaller version) ((Similar color and size here))|Anchor Braclet: White Lotus Boutique (Similar)|

This weekend feels like a dream and went by like a blur. I actually had friday through monday off and was going to go home but due to different circumstances (mainly my parents knowing me too well and knowing I'd somehow get lost) I remained in Jersey. You know those moments where it just clicks and you realize God had you in his hands all along when you were being dramatic about the closed door? That was this weekend.

I actually was supposed to be off work thursday too and the family I work for called me and said I needed to watch the kids all day. I actually took them to see the new Peanuts movie, and it was adorable. Charlie Brown having a crush..? That's me.

Then on Saturday me and my friend went to this Pier Shops in Caesars Palace (Atlantic City) where they were having an event. If you had been one of the first to RSVP you got a goodie bag (which included that darling bracelet), free cupcakes and champagne as you looked around, the whole store was 50% off, and if you spent $25.00 you got free lunch downstairs. I mean how amazing. And to top it off the lunch was fancier than I could have even imagined with soup, tons of finger sandwiches, and pasta salad (a personal fav).. complete with dessert. And to top it all off I even saw another good friend randomly and it was like I finally found a cure for my homesickness, realizing that this is home.

To be honest I wanted to buy the whole store, but my bank account didn't allow for that ((hallelujah haha)) but this dress by far was the best investment I could have made (for only $25 might I add thanks to sale) I can already see how I will dress it up with blush or chambray for the spring. ((Basically expect this to be a staple #sorrynotsorry)) And seriously who says you can't rock white in the colder months, because with this blanket scarf and sunny weather... I think I'm doing just fine.

The boutique actually has an online store, unfortunately it does not include a lot of their adorable selections clothing wise but it does feature some clever shirts that would make amazing Christmas presents ((like my one friend adores their whiskey makes me frisky shirt.))

Without going into much detail, you know those moments when something happens and it makes your head spin, you're blushing all the way home (yes to quote Taylor Swift), and your mouth hurts from smiling too much?

That was this weekend...

Holiday Style Guide (His and Hers)

Can you believe it's already holiday season!? And I know, I know there are those of you out there who are refusing to acknowledge christmas right now and would rather decorate all the malls with turkeys in honor of Thanksgiving. Hey, all the more power to you but there is a very big possibility I am rocking out to All I Want For Christmas Is You…

Since there is confusion on this post this is a style guide for holiday parties, not thanksgiving.

Holiday parties are a big part of the holidays and what better start to the LookBrooke holiday guides then with a his and hers style guide! I have three options ranging from casual, dressy casual, and finally full out dressy.

What I surprisingly learned from this guide is that evidently I'm a huge banana republic fan when it came to men's clothing (and obvi JCrew but we knew that!) Feel free to comment below for any requests for holiday clothing specifics or ideas ( or shoot a tweet ((@brooklyn_terry)) or email ((lookbrookeblog@gmail.com)) ) I will always be more than willing to help you out.

Also please shoot ideas on different gift guides you'd like to see!!

Layers on Layers

|Chambray Top|Dress: Forever21 (found in store) ((similar))|Loafers: H&M ((similar))|

It's been unseasonably warm, like I could have probably shown you a look with short sleeves and shorts and been comfortable. Not that I'm complaining, I know once winter hits here it's like narnia and spring will become like a myth. With my starbucks peppermint mocha (( red cups are back YALL… as if you didn't already know by the millions of snap chats and instagrams ;) )) in tow, I headed back to my favorite spots in Brigantine to shoot for the blog.

Ever since actually relocating here I had known that shooting there was something I wanted to do but never seemed to find the time to travel there and shoot, it was always more personal related than blog related. So I'm glad I finally took the jump because guys I am loving the end project, granted layers might not be the best place to be showcased on the beach… but it's my happy place so deal with it :))).

People were even sitting with their chairs on the beach today, glorious weather. But back to fall… one of best parts is layering. And when I picked up this baby doll dress during one of the million runs to forever21 I knew this was going to quickly become a staple in my fall/winter wardrobe. ((I will admit I feel like it's a tad bit of a throwback to my private christian school days… holla)) I actually picked up this dress because for halloween I thought I was going to dress up as a nerd (I ended up being a cracked doll) but I justified the purchase by saying I could transition it into everyday. I have a feeling you will most likely be seeing this dress again on the blog with a different layering technique… what can I say sometimes when a dress works you rock it good. ((Or something like that was said in Bridewars hahah))

If you recall I already talked about how I just am not a pants person, so layering with tights, long sleeves, and sweaters help me transition over some of my favorite dresses for a new fall look. It's my favorite go to for everyday outfits and is so easy to dress up or dress down.

xoxo

Day Dreaming with Landybridal

*This post is sponsored by Landybridal however all opinions are my own*

If you know me then you know I am a head in the clouds kind of girl, often day dreaming of that picture perfect wedding I've had in mind since I was a little girl. On any given moment of any given day you can guess I am swooning over wedding inspiration via pinterest, watching crying over wedding videos (seriously they are my weakness), reading the love story sections on blogs, or just dreaming of the dress. When I found Landybridal, it let even more day dreaming ensue with their wide selection of dresses ranging from ball gown to mermaid styles… and even better a section for vintage lace wedding dresses!

During beach tagging one of my favorite rituals was when me and my friend would log on to pinterest during lunch break and share with each other wedding ideas. We would even send each other photos of wedding dresses (I mean most girls do that if we're being honest.) And with the rate of logging onto Facebook and each day seeing someone new getting married or engaged, it's contagious and the next thing you know you're in 11 pages deep on wedding dresses 2016

These are a few of my absolute favorites when swooning over the dresses at Landybridal. Did I mention they even have a special going on!?! (Not to mention a lot of their lovely wedding dresses are discounted too) If you buy any wedding dress you can get 20% off all mother of the bride dresses!! So for all you brides-to-be it's worth looking into ;)

I will say that I have never ordered from Landybridal and hadn't heard from them until I was contacted by them but they do have a great selection to choose from and some good reviews. (hint: always read reviews of the product when shopping online… a lot of times they are VERY accurate) So don't let the idea of online shopping keep you from looking :)

Which are your favorite dresses??
