Loving Lately...
You guys!!! The last time I used this template was back in 2016 (JoJo was Bachelorette!). It's been such a long time since I've shared favorites this way and I had so much fun figuring out what I wanted to share with you this time around. I even have a returning contender: buxom's lip plumper... it's been three years and I still give it all the heart eye emojis.
Thursday night about two hours after I got off from work, I started getting sick, I was even up all night throwing up... we think it was food poisoning... I was so worried I wouldn't be able to get my life together and get up a post for Monday- but I'm so glad I'm currently typing this one up.
There are SO many amazing products on the market right now, to be honest- this list doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of everything that I adore currently but I also don't want to make you sit through a college lecture length of me rambling about things I love (that you will TOO!). So let's start...
BEAUTY
1. Buxom's Full-On Plumping Lip Cream in 'White Russian': Me and my mom are OBSESSED with these. (She prefers 'Hot Toddy'!) I don't think I have found a lipgloss I love as much as these since trying them back in 2016, every other gloss I get tired of. It provides the perfect amount of pigment, gloss, and plump that you honestly don't regret the price tag of $20. I have owned three in my lifetime, they last that long. Basically, one for a single year. So when you look at it that way, how can you say no?
2. Charlotte Tilbury's Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Powder in 'Medium 2': YALL. I wanted a Charlotte Tilbury product for YEARS. I never dreamed I would be able to afford them on my own, I can remember Taylor Morgan sharing about them on instastories and her blog and thinking one day! Now that the day is here, I CAN'T STOP RAVING EITHER. Do yourself a favor, and when your budget allows- splurge on her products! I have never felt more beautiful then when I swipe her powder across my problem areas and see the pores slowly disappear.
3. Sephora's Tatcha- Pore Perfecting Moisturizer and Cleanser Duo: What I really want to rave about is their deep cleanse. It truly ruined every other cleanser for me, and I have had it almost for a year and it's still going strong. YALL- this is the mini size I can't even imagine the FULL. What I love about this product is it's a natural everyday exfoliant that isn't too harsh that it will leave my skin feeling rubbed raw, but will also leave my skin feeling rejuvenated. I love that for only $25, you get to experience a brand as luxurious as Tatcha. Me and my bestie Cristen are literally obsessed...
4. Tarte's 'The Buffer' Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush: I was definitely a sponge girl until I found this brush and to be honest, I rarely reach for a sponge to apply my foundation after owning it. For easy and on the go, you just can't beat a brush- it's true! But this seems to give the same look a beauty blender can achieve. I will never go back!
Life + Style
1. The Amazon Bikini Everyone and Their Dog Is Talking About: If you have an instagram, you've seen this bikini. It is everyones favorite photo-op bikini for summer time, and I'm not ashamed to be lumped into a group with them. This is hands down one of the most flattering bikinis out there, and I don't think it has to do with the fact that it's high-waisted (though let's be honest- it doesn't hurt) I think it's just that freaking cute! It's not an everyday beach suit, but it's really good for occasions. I want a cute suit to wear around my bf''s fam (done)... I want a suit for a girls weekend at the condo (add to cart!)... I want a bikini I'm not ashamed of posting onto social media (THIS IS FOR YOU!). Just be sure to size up one (and if they don't have that size- sizing up two won't completely ruin the suit- that's what I had to do!)
2. Sol De Janeiro's Brazilian Bum Bum Cream: Contrary to what it sounds like, it's not butt cream and it also is pronounced like Boom Boom. I know everyone is talking about this lotion but there's a reason why- it smells HEAVENLY. I have never been a fan of lotions before, I would use them but didn't HAVE to use them if that makes sense. Well, I love this product so much... I literally keep two at all times- one for my bfs house and one for mine!
3. Amazon Traveling Makeup Case: I have to shoutout my girl Taylor, because somehow she always leads me to things I can't possibly live without (like this makeup case)! I had been on the search for a good case for probably my entire life with makeup. I never wanted to spend too much money and I also just never really liked anything I ever settled on. So when she posted this to her story- I immediately grabbed it! Though small, it surprisingly holds SO much- I have my everyday makeup in there (including ALL my options that I switch in between) and to me that's wild... this was like around $20! How is that even possible!? I keep my makeup stash at Ms but if I ever want to wear makeup to work then I need a case for on-the-go and this holds everything I could ever want. Do yourself a favor and grab this before your next trip!
4. Amazon Pink Fluffy Slippers: Do you sense the theme? I got an alexa for Christmas and then finally joined the rest of the world and created an amazon prime account and I AM ALIVE! How did I go this long without ordering things at the drop of a hat? My bank account might hate me, but yall should NOT because I get to share all my GREAT finds! As usual, I found this via Taylor (literally do I ever find anything on my own lol) they are the most comfiest slippers you could ever own in your life! I feel like I'm walking on air and it's because they don't have a solid back to them... it's cushion. So literally going to wear these everywhere, k?
Coveting
1. Laneige's Lip Sleeping Mask: If you follow any youtubers or bloggers than you know this stuff is the ish. I'm totally late to the party but I want to join too! I smelled it in Sephora once and HATED the smell but I think it was just an off batch because literally all my friends rave about it too. Have you tried it?
2. Marc Jacobs Beauty's Velvet Noir Volume Mascara: I have heard nothing but good things about this product and I honestly have it in my Sephora cart and I just need to click check out because I NEED IT. They also have a primer that looks bomb too. (Taylor recommends it too, so ya know I'm sold.)
3. Drunk Elephant's T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum: I have a few of their products and actually LOVE them (even more than Sunday Riley, am I allowed to say that??) their oil is actually how I realized that oils DO work and can be added to your skincare routine. I haven't tried their day or night serum and would love to try either one.
Other
1. Tates Cookies: YALL, how did I never try these until I was 25 years old!? That's 24 years WASTED! I really want to make ice cream sandwiches with them, has anybody tried that?? They are the perfect amount of buttery and crunchy and chocolatey- literally can't get enough. Literally who needs boys when these cookies exist???
2. Mio Energy: I have been trying to not only drink more water but cut down on coffee and lattes, and this stuff is the bomb. They have so many flavors and all it is, is water enhancers and some of them have caffeine in them too which is perfect for me when I go to work! The black cherry has Kool Aid vibes (!!!)
3. Apps I've Been Loving:
-Tone It Up: This app has changed the way I view exercise. I love spending 30 mins daily choosing a workout that fits MY problem areas, insecurities, or lifestyle. They also have SO much variety within their variety (things like boxing, arms, full circuits, hiit, yoga, and more!) I've already seen an improvement in not only my body but my self confidence too!
-Shopkick: I won't go into too much detail because I have a previous post that explains it in full length but this app is the reason I've gotten $100+ worth of Sephora completely FREE (!!!). If you love to window shop... or live somewhere where there isn't a lot to do then you NEED this app!

Fresh Layers
Isn't it still so weird how it's already January? I can't get over it. Along with a new year, the resolutions come flooding in. I'm typically not one to make them- I feel like it's the natural you start off strong and life gets in the way and you forget but this year I'm trying to focus on positive thinking and goals that are beneficial.
We all have dreams and mindsets we need to be embracing and I thought I'd share some of mine (taking a page out of one of my favorite bloggers books Little Blonde Book)
- I want to be as devoted to my blog as possible. I have a lot of plans but tend to get overwhelmed with life and all my ideas that the good ones slip through the cracks. I want to get back to networking, uploading relevant contact, and not loosing my voice in the process.
-Embracing winter style, I have never been a fan of winter since I was little- mostly because I am not a fan of baggy clothes, layers, and hiding your cute outfit with a giant coat. This year I want to make the effort to try to find my own style in winter and focus on the positives. I'm not a pants person or a sweater person- but here's to finding what I can work with and like!!
-With that being said, I tend to be too hard on myself and tend to dislike my body in the winter. I recently realized I suffer from body dysmorphic disorder, and I'm trying to make 2017 the year I embrace my body with loving arms. Working out and eating well always leaves me feeling better on the inside but I step in front of the mirror and obsess over every little thing lately- no more... easier said than done, but I am not going out without a fight.
-BUDGETING. Oh my, I am so bad at this and I'm currently thankful that life has taken a turn where I really am going to learn how in the world to budget. I'll be honest- sometimes it comes down to simply not letting myself inside the mall because I'll find any excuse to run into PacSun and justify buying that crop top (in the dead of winter- someone help me) and no Brooke you don't need that $5 candle from Target (???).
-This year I really want to start spending more time with the Lord. I'm great at the conversation side of the relationship and I can honestly say we have an open dialogue. But I'm lacking on the getting to learn more and grow in the bible, If you have any good bible study recommendations- send them my way! Late in 2016, I started getting better with this goal- truly taking the time to focus on bible studies (this one was one of my favorites this year!) then (shamefully) life got in the way and I finished the study and Proverbs31 slid under my radar once again.
-Truly focus on my future, for a while I sat in a rut ashamed because I had no clue where to pick up my broken pieces and find out the next step. After years of soul searching and talking with God I know what I'm meant to do and now it's time to truly focus on executing that plan.
-I want to get back into writing, I always said I wanted to write a humorous book on all my adventures of just how much I embarrass myself when it comes to opposite sex. It's time to really hash it out and let the tales flow.

Is it seriously already almost November!? How is this even possible, I feel like yesterday I was sitting on the beach and now I can't walk in Target without seeing Christmas decor and wrapping paper (which I'm basically geeking out over tbh).
I decided to start a Youtube channel (!!!) which I am actually going to film my first video (a beauty haul) today so be sure to click the link and subscribe for all the LookBrooke goodness. . I finally went to a pumpkin patch (as evidenced by this post lol) me and Cristen decided to paint ours instead of carve them (a little too much wine and carving tools seemed like a hazard lol). So I still have yet to carve a pumpkin, maybe next year :P
I am falling in love with these pac sun jeans, I've been on the look out for the perfect white jeans and finally found this pair when they have a BOGO sale. I know you're not supposed to wear white after Labor Day but let's be real here, if you aren't breaking a few rules you aren't living ;)
They've been on repeat since the day I took them home. Lately, I've been loving the cold shoulder look too (like this top) I think it adds a little femininity to any outfit and helps when the weather can't decide if it's actually fall or spring.

May Favorites
It's been a crazy week (and it's only Wednesday!). I have been spending most of my day packing, I am preparing for a girls weekend in Charlotte with one of my best friends, and I leave for Jersey in five days (!!!)
Also, who here watches The Bachelorette? This season is insane. I have so many questions, like what in the world does JoJo see in Evan!? Why can't I stop staring at Jordan every time he's remotely on my tv? And how in the world are there people rooting for Chad, because I feel like he's going to be the star in my nightmares from now on... anyway, back to my favorites lol
Beauty
1. CoverGirl The Super Sizer Mascara: If you've been a reader for a while then you know if I love something (especially mascara) I gush, I admit I never thought I'd find a mascara I liked more than ItCosmetic's Hello Lashes. With recommendation from a dear friend (and a total envy crush on her lashes) I bought this mascara, and (no joke) two more people in my life have asked for the name and have gone out and bought it. When your lashes still look amazing via a crappy dusty iphone snap... then you know you find the one *insert hand making the ok gesture emoji*
2. Maybelline Master Pro Contour Palette: It's always such a depressing moment when your favorite high-end palette smashes into a million tiny pieces. I picked up this one instead because well a target is a lot closer than a sephora or ulta. I absolutely adore the highlight in this palette, I want to go around adding it to everyone I see lol.
3. Buxom's Lip Gloss in "White Russian": I won't lie, I originally only bought this because Taylor Morgan raved about it in her snap and blog. The next thing you know it's a staple in my everyday makeup routine.
4. Secret Deodorant in "Macaroon Delight": Okay so I realize it might be slightly crazy and delirious to include a deodorant and perhaps you're about to click that little red x above but I love the scent of this deodorant. I also love macaroons, so really it's quite a win win.
4. Ray Bans Aviators: Literally my favorite sunglasses ever, my dad actually bought me a pair for Christmas (they were Wayfarers) and they fell off my head during a boat ride and my life was shattered. (Okay, a tad bit dramatic...) One day while working at the beach though I saw something in the sand and pulled up aviators.
Seasonal
1. Victoria Secret Getaway Halter: I'm still mourning the fact that Victoria Secret will be discontinuing their swim line (I'm not okay...). I adore the color of this top, it's comfy and even being halter... I find myself picking it out of the collection more than I thought I would. I know it will be a go-to at work on the beach.
2. Swan Pool Float: If you're on basically any social media (Instagram, Pinterest, or Tumblr) then you know that pool floats are everywhere but there's something about the swan that keeps me going back to it.
3. Sun Bum Chapstick: I believe I've talked about this chapstick a lot on LookBrooke, but it's my absolute favorite. It leaves my lips feeling smooth, re-hydrated, and it leaves this sugary-sweet taste (just being honest.)
4. 1. Guac This Way shirt: Lately, I've been wanting to add a bunch of crazy random shirts to my closet. I used to hate t-shirts but I feel like this is a fun way to add a statement and still be super comfy.
2. H&M Shorts: You always need a good pair of distressed jeans to take on the day, and with the price tag being $20, I'm swooning hard.... ;)
3. Steve Madden Nude Sandal: I barely own any heeled sandals and obviously a good nude sandal is the place to start, I can already imagine all the different outfits I could pair these shoes with!
Other
1. She's The Man: I know, I know this movie came out when I was like in 8th grade so how possibly could it be on my favorites but some movies you just become ya know? Like basically how we are the generation that might tear up a little bit if we hear the words High School Musical (I still remember feeling like a true star in the making when I was told to come to the board and write out how to correctly spell Zac Efron... yeah claim to fame right there lol) Anyway. I'm pretty sure everybody and their grandmas (except one poor unfortunate 24 year old male soul who now has been redeemed thanks to moi!) know this movie but I recently watched it for the first time in a while and forgot how genuinely funny it is. Also, any gif from the movie is the perfect reaction for boys on tinder ("Girls with asses like mine, don't talk to boys with faces like yours.")
2. Yogurt Parfaits: If you follow me on instagram then you know the other day I sat down with a yogurt parfait and Southern Charm and began my morning (pure bliss!). Lately, I've been loving adding this salted caramel greek yogurt mousse to the bowl and topping it off with sliced strawberries, blackberries, and a little bit of honey roasted granola!
3. MUSIC: If you've been around a while then you know I'm a theatre nerd. A huge one in fact and if you're new to the party, I am so sorry. Lately there are two soundtracks I seem to have on repeat daily. Those are Spring Awakening and Hamilton, if you happen not to live under a rock then you know or have at least heard of Hamilton. When I'm happy, sad, tired, or just need background noise these two are the way to go. ((Also both have Jonathan Groff, so win win!!))

Off The Shoulder
Can you spot the bandaid? How embarrassing, the other day I was making muffins for breakfast and somehow slid the top of my arm onto one of the hot racks (ouchhh). It doesn't take long to realize I'm accident prone between the tripping, bumping of the head, and almost falling off beds that are a regular occurrence. *insert monkey covering his eyes emoji* A good friend of mine used to joke that I'd meet the love of my life by tripping into them or hurting myself... I'm beginning to think they are 100% right ha!
I know off the shoulder is such a big trend right now, but I honestly can't get enough of it. I had been searching for a good two months for the perfect dress to wear to a graduation and off the shoulder kept being a thing I knew I wanted the dress to include. I finally logged onto Francesca's one day and immediately knew I had found the dress!
Basically, if life was like a cartoon... my entire closet would be full with this little number. I'd wear it over and over again...

Everybody deserves to feel pretty, sexy, and like they can take on the world no matter what is thrown at them. I know for me personally, I get an automatic boost of confidence when I'm wearing a favorite pair of underwear and a pretty bra, it makes you feel at your prettiest even if it means you're wearing a t-shirt and sweat pants over top of them.
One of my favorite things about the company Adore Me, is their belief that every woman deserves to feel sexy every single day. While I love clothing and beauty, don't get me wrong... those things don't define who we are or provide the standard of what makes us beautiful. I think it's our personality, the way we treat others, and our open hearts that provide the basis for who we are... but when we feel like our clothes match the way we feel about ourselves (or how we want to feel) I think something beautiful happens.

-That moment you have to decide if stuffing gum into your mouth and offering him a piece would be too obvious a statement of, I WANT YOU TO KISS ME GOODNIGHT GOSH DANG IT so you're at a standstill... Who cares, you have cute underwear (!!!)
-You just tripped on nothing while walking... Who cares, you have cute underwear (!!!)
-You just sent a voice memo to a guy while talking about him... Who cares, you have cute underwear (!!!)
-You drunkenly decide to run away and hide from a guy and end up accidentally finding solace in the boys bathroom... Who cares, you have cute underwear (!!!)

It still seems surreal that it's actually spring, this season is one of my absolute favorites! With it comes my birthday, LookBrooke's birthday, the start of eating icecream outside, and a personal favorite... dresses. Guys it's almost March, like holy crap how did that happen?? I swear it was just January and I was celebrating New Years in DC, next thing I know it's socially acceptable to have all my shopping bags online overflowing with bathing suits and coverups. Like really? Summer is so close guys, I can practically feel the ocean water. So naturally, my first Look's Little Covets has to be summer and travel theme.
I'll be spending my days day dreaming of the ocean, waiting around for the tropical snapchat filter (@btbroomell), pining after the whole 2016 collection of Victoria's Secret bathing suits, and crying in my room over how white I am. The tan days are upon as guys... they really are. Til then, day dream and shop these adorable findings.
